February 12, 2014 – Jay-Crew, one of Indiana’s leading landscape, lawn care, irrigation and maintenance providers, is pleased to announce that Landscape Designer & Relationship Manager, Josh Perkins, recently received his Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license. This significant certificate is given by the state licensure board that oversees all Architects, Landscape Architects, and Engineers.
Perkins earned this certificate by graduating from an accredited college, spending a minimum of three years working under a licensed landscape architect, and passing a series of tests demonstrating his comprehension of the profession, the built environment, and legal responsibility assumed when designing outdoor spaces.
Originally from Scottsburg, Indiana, Perkins graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. He spent two years in the northern suburbs of Chicago working on residential projects before returning to Muncie as Landscape Designer for Jay-Crew. He now oversees commercial developments where he is responsible for executing designs, managing installations, and continued maintenance for many Jay-Crew projects.
“Josh is a talented individual who truly enjoys the challenges of creating a unique outdoor space,” says Jay-Crew owner Jason Brooks, “We are extremely proud of him for receiving his PLA certificate. He has demonstrated a great passion for his job and we believe he is a great asset to the Jay-Crew team.”
